摘要： A process for oligomerizing isobutene comprises contacting a feedstock comprising isobutene with a catalyst comprising a MCM-22 family molecular sieve under conditions effective to oligomerize the isobutene, wherein said conditions including a temperature from about 45° C. to less than 140° C. The isobutene may be a component of a hydrocarbon feedstock containing at least one additional C4 alkene. In certain aspects, isobutene oligomers are separated from a first effluent of the oligomerization to produce a second effluent comprising at least one n-butene. The second effluent can be contacted with an alkylation catalyst to produce sec-butylbenzene.

摘要： Provided are processes for making, and processes for using triglycerides as plasticizers. The process for making the triglyceride plasticizer includes: (i) recovering at least one linear C4 to C10 aldehyde, one branched C4 to C10 aldehyde, or a combination thereof from a hydroformylation product; (ii) oxidizing the linear, branched or combination thereof C4 to C10 aldehyde to form a linear, branched or combination thereof C4 to C10 acid; (iii) esterifying the linear, branched or combination thereof C4 to C10 acid with a polyol to yield a linear alkyl triglyceride, a branched alkyl triglyceride, or a combination thereof, and reaction byproducts; (iv) purifying the linear, branched or combination thereof alkyl triglyceride to form a plasticizer stream, a reaction byproduct stream, and an unreacted input stream, wherein the total carbon number of the triester groups ranges from 20 to 25 for greater than or equal to 45 wt % of the plasticizer; and (v) recycling from the purifying step back to the esterifying step the unreacted input stream and the reaction byproduct stream.

摘要： In a process for oxidizing a feed comprising cyclohexylbenzene, the feed is contacted with oxygen and an oxidation catalyst in a plurality of reaction zones connected in series, the contacting being conducted under conditions being effective to oxidize part of the cyclohexylbenzene in the feed to cyclohexylbenzene hydroperoxide in each reaction zone. At least one of the plurality of reaction zones has a reaction condition that is different from another of the plurality of reaction zones. The different reaction conditions may include one or more of (a) a progressively decreasing temperature and (b) a progressively increasing oxidation catalyst concentration as the feed flows from one reaction zone to subsequent reaction zones in the series.

摘要： A process for making non-phthalate, 1,2-phenylene oxo-diester plasticizers for polymer compositions, by selectively hydrogenating naphthalene to form a partially hydrogenated naphthalene, oxygenating said partially hydrogenated naphthalene to form phenylene diacids, and esterifying said phenylene diacids with oxo-alcohols to form 1,2-phenylene oxo-diesters. Also a process for making phenylene oxo-diester plasticizers by selectively brominating xylenes to form bisbromomethylbenzene, catalytic carboalkoxylation of the bromo-compound to form phenylene diacetate, followed by transesterification to form the phenylene oxo-diester.

摘要： Provided are compositions, processes for making, and processes for using neoalkyl polyol esters and triglycerides as plasticizers. In one form, a neoalkylester triglyceride plasticizers can be produced by (i) drying a polyol feedstream; (ii) contacting in a reactor the dried polyol feedstream with a neoacid feedstream under effective temperature, pressure and time to form a neoalkylester plasticizer effluent stream, and (iii) purifying the neoalkylester plasticizer effluent stream to remove unreacted polyol and unreacted neoacid to form a neoalkylester plasticizer. Such plasticizers can be phthalate-free and provide outstanding properties including a suitable melting or pour point, glass transition temperature, low volatility, increased compatibility, increased hydrolytic stability, and excellent low temperature properties in a range of polymeric resins.

摘要： Provided is a process for oligomerizing n-olefins. The process has the step of reacting (oligomerizing) an amount of one or more n-olefins in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a two or more metal oxides at a temperature effective to effect oligomerization. The two or more metal oxides are represented by the formula MOn/M′On′. M and M′, are, independently, selected from the group consisting of Al, Ce, Fe, P, W, Zr, and combinations thereof. M and M′ are different metals or combinations of metals. “n” and “n′” are positive numbers and vary stoichiometrically depending on the valency of M and M′, respectively. Provided is also a process for alkylation of an alkylatable aromatic compound. The process has the step of contacting an amount of one or more n-olefins with an amount of aromatic compound in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of the two or more metal oxides at a temperature effective to effect alkylation of the aromatic compound.

摘要： In a process for oxidizing alkylaromatic compounds to the corresponding hydroperoxide, an alkylaromatic compound of general formula (I): in which R1 and R2 each independently represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, provided that R1 and R2 may be joined to form a cyclic group having from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, said cyclic group being optionally substituted, and R3 represents hydrogen, one or more alkyl groups having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a cyclohexyl group, is contacted with oxygen in the presence of an added catalyst comprising tert-butyl hydroperoxide and in the absence of any other catalyst, to produce a hydroperoxide of general formula (II): in which R1, R2 and R3 have the same meaning as in formula (I). The hydroperoxide may then be converted into a phenol and a ketone of the general formula R1COCH2R2 (III), in which R1 and R2 have the same meaning as in formula (I).
