摘要： A networked conferencing device includes at least one speaker, a display and a plurality of environmental sensors such as cameras, microphones, light level sensors, thermal sensors and motion sensors. The conferencing device receives environmental information from the sensors and processes this information to identify qualified events. The identified qualified events are then used to determine a next powered state for the conferencing device. If the next powered state is different than a current powered state, then the conferencing system transitions to the next powered state.

The amount of audio delay is variable according to the condition of the videoconferencing: long audio delay is inserted to achieve lip-sync between audio and video playback during monologue speech, but minimum or no audio delay is inserted during interactive discussion or argument. Variable audio playback speeds may be used instead of inserting quantum delay to achieve the same result. Various methods and apparatuses to detect the non-interactive mode or interactive modes are also disclosed.

摘要： A method, microphone module and a system for full-duplex audio system implementing full duplex audio, audio echo cancellation and audio codec. The audio signals from the microphones and to the loudspeakers are encoded to reduce the transmission bandwidth requirement during wired or wireless transmission and decoded when needed for further processing. Each microphone has transceivers to receive signals fed to loudspeakers within the microphone module. An audio echo canceller is installed within each microphone module to generate echo free audio signal for further signal processing. Problems due to the combination of lossy codec and echo cancellation are avoided.

摘要： A presentation device includes an embedded web server for transmitting images representative of presentation information to network-connected terminals concurrently with the display of such presentation information at the presentation site. The images may be viewed at the terminals by pointing a conventional web browser to a DNS name or IP address associated with the presentation device. Certain of the terminals may be given presenter privileges, wherein the users of the presenter terminals may control aspects of the presentation such as slide sequencing by engaging the appropriate controls displayed within the browser window. In this manner, presentations may be viewed and controlled remotely using a conventional browser interface.

摘要： Method and apparatus for creating a dynamic image on a television receiver display screen reflecting mood and character of music. Methods of pattern generation and color modulation are described. The pattern as seen by a viewer is a derived X-Y coordinate plot. The invention contemplates a format translator which is defined as a memory that samples an audio waveform periodically, determines the screen position corresponding to each sample, and stores video pulses in memory locations corresponding to those screen positions. The memory is then read in a line-by-line format for television display. The memory is thus written into in an X-Y format and read out in a raster scan format. Symmetry and variable image change rate can be employed in order to produce a pattern with pleasing effects. Image color is varied by shifting the phase of the chrominance sub-carrier as a function of the music envelope. Image color and intensity formation are then combined in an output mixer to produce a standard composite video output signal.
