Stanchions.-One or more of the supporting- pillars extending between the bottom of the ship or the top of the ballast tank and the deck, or between two or more decks, are so constructed as to allow a person to pass up and down within them. Fixed or removable ladders are arranged in the pillars, which are provided with openings communicating with the holds. In order to give access to the tanks or bottom of the ship, the lower ends of the modified pillars are provided with manholes and covers. The upper ends of the pillars pass through the upper deck and serve as vetilators, samson-posts, supports for derricks &c.

The intermediate representation may comprise a version of the component instance data structure. The intermediate representation may allow the client device to create an instance of the component in memory.

The component re-rendering process may be based, at least in part, on output from the handler execution process.
