摘要： A syringe configured to deliver viscous compositions is described, in which the syringe may include an elongate chamber having side port(s) extending therefrom. Various viscous compositions may be inserted through the side port(s) and into the elongate chamber, which may further house a plunger for ejecting the composition. One portion of the plunger may interact with a restricted opening on the chamber to inhibit removal of the plunger from the chamber; and another portion of the plunger may have a locking structure, which cooperates with a locking structure on the chamber to selectively fix the plunger with respect to the chamber. The plunger may also be fully slidable within the chamber when the locking structures of the plunger and the elongate chamber are not engaged. Related methods of using the aforementioned syringe, as well as kits including further instruments that interact with the syringe, are also disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus includes a portable housing and a plurality of separately operable microfluidic emitters disposed within the housing. Each microfluidic emitter h an inlet for receiving a liquid and an outlet for emitting a spray. Each microfluidic emitter is movable within the portable housing between a first position in which the outlet of that microfluidic emitter is fully retracted within the portable housing and a second position in which the outlet of that microfluidic emitter projects out of the portable housing. The portable housing with the multiple emitters is adapted to be detachably coupled to another housing portion. This housing portion includes a microfluidic substrate with a channel for transporting an eluent and an outlet aperture for emitting the eluent. The inlet of one of the emitters is detachably coupled to the outlet aperture of the microfluidic substrate.

Chromatographic separation includes: a trap column; a separation column; a trap-column heater; a separation-column heater; a solvent pump unit; and a control unit can be used.

Forming the pattern includes compressing the at least one surface by applying pressure thereto causing displacement of material to form at least one groove.

摘要： An electrical lighting system for a tree especially adapted to an artificial Christmas tree having removable limbs. The system includes electrical conducting distribution straps or bands which may be wrapped around and secured to a tree trunk at selected levels. Each of the distribution bands has prong means and electric lead and plug means for interconnecting the bands along the tree trunk and a plurality of spaced apertures for insertion of male electrical plugs around each of the bands on the tree trunk. Also included are electrical branch circuits having a plurality of sockets and bulbs for mounting on each of the removable tree limbs, each of the circuits having a male plug connectible with the spaced apertures on the nearest distribution band for supplying electricity from the band to the branch circuit. After the bands and the branch circuits are installed on the tree trunk and removable tree limbs, the bands and branch circuits may remain on the trunk and limbs when the trunk and limbs are disassembled for storage purposes.
