    • A system (100) is provided for calculating the vapor pressure for a liquid whose composition is unknown. The liquid to be tested is passed through a gas/liquid separator (120) at a substantially constant flow rate and at a predetermined temperature and pressure. The liquid being passed through separator (120) evolves gas which is passed through a gas meter. The liquid passing from separator (120) passes through a flow meter (134). The evolved gas is also coupled to a gas chromatograph (160) for measurement of the gas composition. The measurement data is input to a processor (180) for converging an initial assumed inlet oil composition, with the measured gas composition, gas flow rate, and liquid flow rate using representative constituent equilibrium data to derive the composition of the inlet liquid stream. The converged liquid composition data is then utilized for calculating the vapor pressure or vapor emissions of the liquid.

    • An electric periodontal massager having a housing and a first shaft rotatably disposed therein about an axis. An electric motor is provided for rotating the shaft and a crank is disposed on the other end of the shaft. A second shaft having a rubber or resilient massaging tip thereon is provided for periodontal usage. The other end of the second shaft is resiliently attached to the housing. A resilient linkage has one end thereof attached to the crank of the first shaft and the other end thereof disposed around an intermediate portion of the second shaft whereby rotation of the first shaft by the electric motor causes the first end of the second shaft and thereby the resilient massaging tip to move for applying chemicals to and massaging gum tissue.

    • A positive displacement pump has a cylinder closed at one end and a plunger projecting from the opposite end reciprocable therein. Rings and packing are inserted at the opposite end to guide the plunger and are designed to provide that the plunger has a material clearance from the cylinder walls. To use a different sized plunger the rings and packing are designed for easy removal at the end of the cylinder and for replacement by rings and plunger corresponding to the new plunger section. A convenient manual linkage is provided for manual operation of the pump with the cylinder upright. A convenient horizontal frame is provided for the pump with a drive means for the pump used with the cylinder in a horizontal position.
