摘要： Pharmaceutical formulations and methods for the topical or transdermal delivery of 1-isobutyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]-quinolin-4-amine or 1-(2-methylpropyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-4-amine, i.e., imiquimod, to treat actinic keratosis with short durations of therapy, than currently prescribed for the commercially available Aldara® 5% imiquimod cream, as now approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (“FDA”), are disclosed and described. More specifically, lower dosage strength imiquimod formulations to deliver an efficacious dose of imiquimod for treating actinic keratosis with an acceptable safety profile and dosing regimens that are short and more convenient for patient use than the dosing regimen currently approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (“FDA”) for Aldara® 5% imiquimod cream to treat actinic keratosis are also disclosed and described.

摘要： A fuel cell or electrochemical cell has a catalytic electrode and an electrically conductive contact element facing the electrode. The electrically conductive contact element conducts electrical current from the electrode and has a surface that includes a plurality of passivated regions and a plurality of non-passivated regions dispersed among the passivated regions. The surface is further coated with an electrically conductive, corrosion resistant coating. Methods include treating the electrically conductive contact element by passivation to resist corrosion while still maintaining electrical conductivity of the element.

摘要： Pharmaceutical packages and methods for enhancing the safety of imiquimod when used to treat children affected by skin disorders are disclosed. More particularly, the safety profile of imiquimod use is enhanced by providing information to the children, guardians of the children, including parents and health care professionals, that systemic absorption of imiquimod and other effects may be observed when imiquimod therapy is used to treat children of between about 2 and about 12 years of age. Examples of systemic absorption include a serum imiquimod concentrations of less than about 2 ng/mL, a decrease in median white blood cell count by about 1.4*109/L or a decrease in median absolute neutrophil count by about 1.42*109/L. Topical and/or transdermal delivery of imiquimod, including creams, ointments, gels, lotions, salves and pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions to treat dermatological disorders in children, namely, molluscum contagiosum, viral infections, such as Type I or Type II Herpes simplex infections and condyloma acuminata, genital warts and perianal warts, actinic keratosis and superficial basal cell carcinoma, and to induce interferon biosynthesis, are disclosed.
