摘要： An improved system for mammography analysis and methods of using the same. In one aspect, the present invention provides a biopsy instrument having a side opening that generally coexists or is aligned with a central portion of a cyst, tissue or otherwise for deploying a marking device to the central region of the same. In another aspect, the present invention provides an encasement, adapted to receive a marking clip, for deployment into a tissue region for marking and/or treatment of the same.

摘要： A method of marking and optionally treating a tissue sample, the method comprising the steps of: (a) providing an instrument including a needle having an opening and a clip delivery device within the needle, wherein the clip delivery device includes an opening coexisting with the opening of the needle; and (b) delivering a clip to a biopsy site, wherein the clip includes an encasement adapted to provide treatment to the tissue sample; wherein delivery of the clip is essentially free of a step of longitudinal re-positioning of greater than about 3 mm by the user of the needle or clip delivery device so that the clip is precisely deployed to a central portion of the biopsy site.

摘要： An improved method for marking a breast cyst or a breast biopsy site, using the steps of: inserting a first needle into the breast cyst or the breast biopsy site; removing fluid from the breast cyst or tissue from the breast biopsy site; inserting a second needle into the cyst or the breast biopsy site that includes a clip; pushing an actuator and a driver of the second needle along an inside portion of the second needle so that the clip travels down the inside portion of the second needle; and expelling the clip along a ramp that is in alignment with a hole in the first needle and the second needle resulting in the insertion of the clip into the breast cyst or the breast biopsy site to mark the same.
