Mortising; tools.-Square, hexagonal, or other shaped holes having an axis of symmetry are cut by a hand-operated tool comprising rotating cutters 1 and chain cutters 10 which complete the portion of the contour left by the cutters 1. The chain is driven by a crank 8 and sprocket 7, and drives a wheel 4 which rotates the cutters 1. In a modification, the cutters 1 are made in two parts, so that by changing the parts forming the intermediate sections and also the wheel 4, holes of different sizes may be cut. The tension of the chain is regulated at 11. In a further modification, the two cutters 1 are made in one piece connected by a square axle, and the wheel 4 is made in two parts for assembling and removal. The cutters 1, in the case of square holes, may have rounded points to facilitate cutting, and the holes are finished by inserting the tool a second time after rotating it through a right-angle. Double dovetailed grooves may be cut.

摘要： 28,135. Marriott, J. C. Dec. 22. Snow, melting; draining-channels. - Snow is melted and removed from streets, roadways, bridges, viaducts, and open spaces by means of conduits. The conduits 3, Fig. 2, placed conveniently under the kerb have guard-plates removable to allow the snow to be shovelled into the conduits. Water is admitted from the mains 10, and the liquid slush runs into the sewers, harbours, rivers, or other available bodies of water. Standpipes or reservoirs flush the conduits in sections and prevent waste of water. The conduits may carry electric wires or gas or water pipes as shown. A small opening 8 between the guard-plates and the ground enables the conduits to serve as ordinary draining-channels.

The tracheal tube adaptor may be configured to easily attach and detach an end connector. The end connector may be used to couple a variety of medical devices such as a ventilator, a manual respirator, a nebulizer, a vaporizer, suctioning equipment, and so forth, to the tracheal tube. The use of the tracheal tube adaptor system and methods enables the rapid detachment and attachment of various end connectors, thus allowing the coupling of the tracheal tube to a variety of medical devices.
