    • In a communication system, UE (User Equipment) concurrently provides a plurality of services based on priority. Currently available resources of the UE are confirmed when the UE is required to provide a service that is different from a plurality of services that are currently being provided. Connection of corresponding services are cancelled iteratively, starting from a service with the lowest user preference, until the currently available resources become sufficient to provide the required service if the currently available resources are not sufficient to provide the required service. The priority can be based on user preferences that are managed for a plurality of services that can be provided in the UE.

    • Scanning apparatus and scanning methods are disclosed for inspecting a surface of a semiconductor wafer. A disclosed example scanning apparatus includes a wafer stage to hold a wafer, a plurality of beam irradiators to respectively irradiate beams toward a plurality of inspection points on the surface of the wafer, a plurality of beam detectors respectively combined with the plurality of beam irradiators to form a plurality of irradiator-detector sets to detect reflected beams that are reflected from the inspection points on the surface of the wafer, a feeder unit to cause relative movement between the wafer stage and the plurality of irradiator-detector sets such that the entire surface of the wafer may be traversed by the inspection points, and a synthesizer to generate an inspection signal for the surface of the wafer by combining signals output from the plurality of beam detectors, wherein the relative movement of the wafer stage and a first one irradiator-detector sets is separate from that of the wafer stage and a second one of the irradiator-detector sets.

    • Disclosed is a method for setting up a route path between a source node and a destination node through route discovery in a mobile ad hoc network. The source node transmits a RREQ message to the destination node, and the destination node transmits a RREP message to the source node in response to the RREQ. A first intermediate node having failed to transmit the original RREP stores the original RREP, generates a PRREQ message, and transmits the generated PRREQ to neighbor intermediate nodes. If an ID of the PRREQ and an original IP address included in the received PRREQ are identical to an ID and an original IP address of the RREQ received from the source node, a second intermediate node receiving the PRREQ generates a PRREP message corresponding to the PRREQ and transmits the PRREP to the first intermediate node. If a partial route path is set up between the first intermediate node and the second intermediate node as the first intermediate node receives the PRREP, the first intermediate node transmits the original RREP via the partial route path. Then the source node receives the original RREP, and completes setup of the route path.

    • Provided is a method for setting up a route path between source and destination nodes in a mobile ad hoc network. The source node transmits a RREQ message to the destination node, which transmits a RREP message to the source node.
