    • Disclosed are an electrophotographic image forming apparatus including a detachable development cartridge having arranged therein a photoconductive drum and a developing roller for forming a toner image through a development nip formed between the photoconductive drum and the developing roller. The development cartridge may include a development nip control member that can switch between a first position, in which the development nip control member causes the photoconductive drum to be separated from the developing roller, and a second position, in which the development nip control member causes the photoconductive drum to be in a pressing contact with the developing roller so as to form therebetween the development nip. The development cartridge may be mounted in the main body of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus with its development nip control member being in the first position, separating the photoconductive member from the developing roller. The electrophotographic image forming apparatus may be packaged for distribution with the development cartridge received in the main body thereof where the photoconductive drum and the developing roller are no in contact with each other in the development cartridge as packaged.

    • A developing device and an image forming apparatus having the same include a frame having a knob part, a photosensitive body provided in front of the knob part with respect to a first direction of mounting the developing device, and a rotation guide part provided in front of the photosensitive body with respect to the first direction, and to guide a rotational motion of the developing device. When the developing device is removed from the image forming apparatus, the knob part is rotated upward. A first protrusion is provided on a side surface of the frame to determine a mounting position of the developing device. When the knob part is rotated upward, the first protrusion is rotated in the same direction as the knob part. Accordingly, the developing device has an improved mounting/removing structure adequate to compactly manufacture the image forming apparatus, and improves handling convenience in mounting and removing the developing device.

    • A developing device and an image forming apparatus having the same include a frame having a knob part, a photosensitive body provided in front of the knob part with respect to a first direction of mounting the developing device, and a rotation guide part provided in front of the photosensitive body with respect to the first direction, and to guide a rotational motion of the developing device. When the developing device is removed from the image forming apparatus, the knob part is rotated upward.     • A shock absorbing apparatus for packaging a toner cartridge includes first shock absorbing members inserted onto both ends of the toner cartridge and having a groove at least partially in contact with lower and upper surfaces of the toner cartridge, a second shock absorbing member located under a center portion of the toner cartridge to support the center portion of the toner cartridge, and a box, in which the toner cartridge inserted into the first and second shock absorbing members is packaged. The shock absorbing apparatus is capable of reducing manufacturing costs since it is no longer necessary to use an expensive, specially designed package to transport individually packaged toner cartridges, minimizing leakage of the developing agent. Still further, the shock absorbing apparatus is capable of preventing the toner cartridge from being contaminated as a whole since the leaked developing agent can be absorbed by the protection pad and the protection sheet even when the developing agent leaks during its distribution. The toner cartridge is kept substantially clean during its distribution since the contaminated parts are wiped by the protection pad.
