摘要： A bleaching agent composition is presented which comprises hydrogen peroxide or a peroxide which generates hydrogen peroxide, and a dicyandiamide derivative, wherein the pH of the aqueous solution of the mixture thereof becomes at least 7.5. [Class 8 (ii)] [Also in Group I] A plunger 6 in a hollow filter element 2 and a plunger 8 in a pump cylinder 9 are attached to a hollow rod 7, which has openings, controlled by sleeves 18, 19, on either side of each plunger, the arrangement being such that the plunger 6 draws fluid, supplied to the receiver 4 through an inlet 5, into the space behind the plunger and forces fluid in front of it outwardly through the filter element to cleanse the element. The filtrate passes on through the rod and is drawn by the plunger 8 into the space behind it. The plunger 8 forces the fluid in front of it to a discharge pipe 12 through the branches 10, 11 with non-return valves 13. The rod 7 is reciprocated by a crank on a shaft 25. A rod 20 to which the sleeve valves are attached is reciprocated by means of a spring 23 and a cam 28 on the shaft 25. Specification 530,329 is referred to.

The plunger rod 7 has apertures 14, 16 below and above the plunger, which apertures are controlled by a sleeve valve 18, held by a spring 23 so as to close the aperture 16 during upward movement of the plunger, but moved down against the spring by a cam 28 to close the aperture 14 during the downward movement of the plunger. The cam 28 is fixed to a shaft 25 from which the plunger rod is reciprocated by a crash and connecting-rod 26. A fabric filtering- medium or an edge filter may be used.

[Class 46] A stationary filtering element is cleansed by a reverse flow of filtrate under pressure from a header which moves over the filtrate side of the element, the matter so detached separating by gravity in the liquid to be filtered. Fig. 2 shows an inward-flow cylindrical element 1 with a wedge-shaped header 8 fixed to a hollow rotatable shaft 9 through which a portion of the filtrate can be pumped back. As shown, the liquid to be filtered is supplied through inlets 4, 5 to the upper portion of the casing and the solid matter detached from the element falls to an outlet 6a, but when the separated impurities are lighter than the liquid, lower inlets are provided and the impurities detached from the filter rise to the top. Fig. 3 shows a disc-shaped element 22 through which the liquid filters upward from an inlet 24a to an outlet 23a. Filtrate is forced back through a rotatable shaft 29 and a segmental header 25. As shown in Fig. 6, a cylindrical filter element is cleansed by a flow of filtrate through a longitudinally reciprocated hollow shaft 42 and a piston 39 comprising hollow spokes and a peripheral channel 40. A pump which draws liquid through the filter may be used to supply under pressure the filtrate used for cleansing. It is stated that the header may take the form of a hollow Archimedean screw with a series of openings or a continuous opening in the outer portion of the screw which moves over the surface of a filter drum. It is also stated that the parts above the container 24 of the apparatus shown in Fig. 3 might be arranged as a movable unit with flexible pipe connections and a flexible drive for the shaft so that the device might be immersed in a separate vessel containing the liquid to be filtered.

Fig. 1 shows a mat having square perforations 3. The strips 4 between the holes may be provided with projecting studs (not shown). The supporting frames may be constituted by two sets of strips 5, Fig. 5, of half the thickness of the frame, each set being flush with one face thereof. The strips may be arranged to provide the minimum resistance to diagonal flow, and their outer faces may be grooved to reduce the area in contact with the rubber. They are provided with gaps 6 at their centres to eliminate stresses during casting. Specification 391,068 is referred to.

[Classes 122 (ii) and 122 (iii).] In a pump of the kind described in Specification 398,684, [Group XXVIII], the main valve 15 is controlled by a combined fluid actuated and mechanical valve gear, and cushioning of the piston 5 at the ends of the stroke is effected, on the up-stroke, by air supplied through ports 4 situated at a distance from the top of the cylinder and, on the down-stroke, by exhaust steam cushioned by the main piston overrunning separate exhaust ports 3 spaced from the cylinder ends. The piston-rod 6 lifts the weight, and through tappets actuates an auxiliary slide valve arranged by the side of the main valve. The main valve 15 controls separate admission and exhaust ports 2, 3 at the bottom of the main cylinder, and the auxiliary slide valve controls separate admission and exhaust passages leading to the ends of the auxiliary cylinders housing the heads of the piston 14 which actuates the main valve. The piston 14 overruns the separate auxiliary exhaust ports and effects the cushioning of the main valvo.

As shown in Fig. 1, the female member B' of the screwram and the thrust block C form the piston and cylinder of an hydraulic ram, liquid under pressure being supplied through a conduit D from a pump E. In the form shown in plan in Fig. 4, the second ram is constituted by cams G pivoted in the part C by means of pins G and actuated by levers G' connected to screw-blocks G on a rod H which is provided with right and left handed screws and a hand-wheel H . The cams G press against projections on the member B . In a further modification, the part C is open at the back so that detents pivoted in bell-crank levers operated in a similar manner to the levers G', can enter to act directly on the part B .
