摘要： A method and an apparatus are provided for mitigating spectral lines in a wireless signal. First a code word (320) is generated that is made up of a plurality of binary or ternary encoded pulses. Then a plurality of code-word-modulated wavelets (330) are generated in response to the code word. These wavelets can be Gaussian monopulses, repeated cycles of a sine wave, or other shaped impulse signals. The plurality of code-word-modulated wavelets are then modulated with a bit of transmit data to form a plurality of data-modulated wavelets (1030). This modulation serves to whiten the signals since the transmit data is effectively random. Finally, the plurality of data-modulated wavelets are transmitted to a remote device (120).

A numerically controlled oscillator (140) generates a correction clock based on the filtered phase error signal. And a filter control circuit (160) provides one or more filter control signals to control operational parameters of the loop filter. The correction clock is provided to the receive channel to modify at least one of the phase and frequency of the local clock. In addition, a sample switch (125) may also be provided to sample the unfiltered phase error signal.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device (100) for generating different colours comprises a liquid crystal cell with a front polarizer (1) and a rear polarizer (8), wherein the rear polarizer is optically transmissive, reflective and/or transflective. In the case that the rear polarizer is transmissive or transflective a broad band back light (9) may be provided to improve the image quality. The various colours are generated in the liquid crystal display device by application of an electric field which causes a change in cell retardation. In one embodiment a retardation layer is provided between the front polarizer (1) and the other elements of the liquid crystal cell for generating different colours.
