摘要： The invention provides an oral care composition suitable for delivering a temporary whitening effect to the surface of teeth, the composition comprising: a continuous phase comprising water or polyhydric alcohol or a mixture thereof; a particulate tooth surface whitening agent which is dispersed in the continuous phase, and a deposition aid for the particulate tooth surface whitening agent; characterised in that the deposition aid is a poly-(sulphonic acid) polymer having: -[CH 2 -C(R)(C(0)NH-C(R 1 )(R 2 )-CH 2 -S0 3 X)]- monomers in its structure, where R is hydrogen or methyl; X is selected from hydrogen, ammonium, alkali metals or alkaline earth metals; and R 1 and R 2 are each independently selected from hydrogen and alkyl groups of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and in which the particulate tooth surface whitening agent is a phthalocyanine blue pigment.

(iii) a catalyst capable of catalysing the polymerisation of the monomer; and (b) Causing the catalyst to catalyse, in combination with the initiator, the polymerisation of a plurality of the monomers to produce the comb polymer.
