摘要： Groups of repeaters in n cascaded repeating stations of a multichannel PCM transmission system are individually tested via a supervisory d-c circuit by different interrogation codes emitted from one terminal of the transmission path, each interrogation code including a train of equispaced address pulses whose number (ranging from 1 through n) identifies a selected station. A control unit at the code-emitting terminal comprises a binary counter manually adjustable to count a selected number of address pulses followed in the code by a pulse interval long enough to allow for the generation of a one-pulse reply code at the station so addressed, a similar counter at that station enabling a pulse generator to produce the reply code in the presence of consent signals from a processor receiving the outputs of m monitoring circuits connected across as many repeaters in each station. The processor is divided into two halves each serving a subgroup of m/2 repeaters used to transmit in one or the other direction.

摘要： To prevent the unauthorized initiation of toll calls from a local telephone station served by a private branch exchange (PBX), the latter is equipped with monitoring circuitry working into a binary/decimal counter which is activated during the dialing of an initial digit (or combination of digits) and, in response to one or more predetermined values thereof, trips a flip-flop to disconnect the station from the line. The flip-flop is also tripped if dialing is commenced before reception of a dial tone from the central office, or if dialing is continued after the arrival of a second a-c signal (line free or busy) from that office. To forestall the generation of a spurious dial tone by voice frequencies. the a-c path from the local station to the PBX is opened during dialing.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplexer that transfers an MPEG multi-program transfer stream to an ATM virtual channel and multiplexes the virtual channel on a virtual path. SOLUTION: A syntax analysis section AS receives a plurality of streams and separates data packets in each stream from service packets. The data packet is directly transferred to a means to generate an output stream, that is, an output stream generator CF and also sent to a processing/controller MP. The processing/controller MP conducts processing and especially updates service information and returns a synthesized output stream. The output stream generator CF generates a single program output stream or a multi-program stream at a frequency band lower than that of the input stream and sends it to a service user. The output stream is obtained by beginning from the packet stored in a temporal storage means that is a memory device ME and the service packet that is processed and set to the virtual ATM channel.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate optical frequency pulse and to supply finite pulse with a minimum phase to an output, in response to a frequency pulse by applying action of partial, white matching filtering to a demodulated signal and attenuating a signal pulse in a form of permitting a residue of remaining color noise. SOLUTION: A white filter W(z) 44 of a partial white matching filter 46 eliminates color noise caused by a matching filter G*(f) 42. Another minimum phase white filter F(z) 48 with a finite order number selectable arbitrarily eliminates a remaining color resulting noise interference/disturbance as much as possible. The white filter F(z) 48 is designed to minimize noise power in an output based on the given filter order number. The system employing the components above supplies a pulse with a minimum phase, that is corrected in response to the frequency pulse in use and attenuated in an optimum form. A noise which is superimposed additively is minimized, with respect to the length of a pulse which is arbitrarily selectable.
