    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging during the time of pressing pulp in through a high pressure fluidizer/homogenizer to process chemical pulp for manufacturing microfibrilized cellulose; and to reduce the energy consumption.SOLUTION: A method for processing chemical pulp so as to manufacture microfibrilized cellulose without clogging in a homogenizing process includes: (a) a step which provides the pulp containing hemicellulose, (b) a step which refines the pulp concerned at least in one step and process the pulp concerned in the given dose of relatively low enzyme using the enzyme which resolves one sort or more of woods, wherein the enzyme is used in the concentration of 0.75 to 10 ECU/g for fiber, and (c) a step which is used together with high pressure fluidizer/homogenizer to homogenize the pulp concerned.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing nanocellulose.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method comprises the following steps i) to iii): i) treating cellulose fibers for at least 5 minutes with an aqueous electrolyte-containing solution of an amphoteric carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) or a derivative thereof, preferably a low molecular amphoteric CMC or a derivative thereof, whereby the temperature during the treatment is at least 50°C, and at least one of the following conditions is applied: A) the pH of the aqueous solution during the treatment lies in the interval of approximately 1.5-4.5, preferably in the region 2-4; B) the pH of the aqueous solution during the treatment is higher than approximately 11; or C) the concentration of the electrolyte in the aqueous solution lies in the interval of approximately 0.0001 to 0.5 M, if the electrolyte has monovalent cations, ii) adjusting the pH by using a basic and/or acidic liquid into a pH range of from about 5 to about 13, and iii) treating the material in a mechanical comminution device, thus providing the nanocellulose.
