摘要： A video record/playback apparatus for reproducing a video recording medium containing a videogram performs a playback operation of the video recording medium, based on comparison of a program rating corresponding to the videogram and a user rating code determined by a user. In this video record/playback apparatus, a key input unit is used for inputting at least one user rating code and a program rating code corresponding to the videogram. A recording/reproduction unit records the input program rating code on the video recording medium and reproduces the video recording medium. A rating code insertion/separation unit inserts the program rating code into the videogram to be recorded on the video recording medium and separates the program rating code from the video signal supplied from the recording/reproduction unit. A storage unit stores the input at least one user rating code. A controller compares the program rating code from the recording/reproduction unit with the stored at least one user rating code and controls the operation of the recording/reproduction unit to perform a playback operation of the video recording medium according to the comparison result.

摘要： A video signal processor for compensating for skew and eliminating noise operable during a high speed search mode of operation includes a synchronizing signal generator receiving a clock and generating a pseudo horizontal sync signal, a controller, initialized in a first logic state of a horizontal synchronizing signal, for counting the period of a second logic state in the horizontal synchronizing signal with reference to the clock for generating a compensated composite synchronizing signal when a counted value exceeds a predetermined value and for generating a compensation control signal having a duration of one horizontal period, line memories and field memories for storing and delaying input video data in terms of line and field units, respectively, for output, a video data compensator for supplying the output of the line memories to the field memories in a first operating mode and feeding back the output of the line memories in a second operating mode responsive to the compensation control signal, and a video signal generator for converting the video data output from the field memories into analog video signal and providing the analog video signal in synchronization with the generated pseudo horizontal synchronizing signal. Therefore, in searching a video signal reproduced from a magnetic recording medium of a video recording/playback system, the skew due to a lost synchronizing signal can be prevented, thereby eliminating that cause of deterioration in picture quality.

摘要： A signal processing device and method which performs stable video signal reproduction in a slow mode function of a video tape recorder by digitally storing only those slow mode images which are stable. The signal processing device includes a signal separator for receiving a composite video signal which is scanned from a video tape in a slow mode of the VTR and separating the received signals into a luminance signal and chrominance signals; an analog-to-digital converter for converting the separated analog luminance and chrominance signals to digital signals; a storage unit for storing the digital luminance and chrominance signals of each field; a digital-to-analog converter for converting the stored signals to analog signals; a microcomputer for generating slow mode signals when a direct current component of an envelope of the scanned composite video signal exceeds a predetermined value; a digital-to-analog converter for converting the stored digital signals to analog signals and outputting the converted signals; a sync signal generator for receiving sub-carrier signals and outputting the composite sync signals and the sub-carrier signals which are frequency-divided; an encoder for encoding the analog-converted signals in response to the composite sync signals and outputting the encoded composite video signals as signals for constituting the slow mode image; and a controller for controlling the storage unit and encoder in response to the slow mode signals and composite sync signals.
