摘要： The present invention provides a sheet feeding apparatus and an image forming apparatus in which generation of a hollow at a separation roller can be prevented.A sheet separating and feeding portion 132 which separates and feeds sheets S one by one sent by a pickup roller 129 includes a feed roller 130 and a retard roller 131 which is arranged rotatably in the direction opposite to a sheet feeding direction and which is capable of rotating along with a rotation of the feed roller 130 while being press-contacted to the feed roller 130. Then, the feed roller 130 is rotated by a predetermined amount so as to rotate the retard roller 131 via the sheet S after job completion.

摘要： An image reader comprises a platen on which an original is to be placed, a read unit for reading an image of the original placed on the platen, a first standard member having even density, a second standard member having even density and provided at a position different from the first standard member, a correction unit for correcting unevenness of a video signal resulted from reading the image of the original by the read unit on the basis of a first standard signal resulted from reading the first standard member by the read unit, and a compensation unit for compensating correction operation made by the correction unit on the basis of a second standard signal resulted from reading the second standard member by the read unit. The reader may also comprise an authorization unit for authorizing the compensation operation by the compensation unit. With the reader, unevenness of the video signal is always automatically corrected with satisfactory results.
