摘要： A sheet conveying device includes a conveyor, a sound collector, and circuitry. The conveyor conveys a sheet. The conveyor conveys a sheet in a sheet conveyance direction. The sound collector collects an operating sound generated by a conveyance of the sheet. The circuitry is to extract a feature amount of the operating sound collected by the sound collector, and determine, at different positions in the sheet conveyance direction based on the feature amount, whether an abnormal conveyance of the sheet occurs until the sheet is conveyed to a given position in the sheet conveyance direction.

摘要： Thread grooves (internal threads) for electrical connection are directly formed in two mounting portions among a total of eight mounting portions provided in the side surfaces and bottom surface of the base plate of a magnetic disk device which are provided in two positions electrically far from the magnetic head with respect to the noise frequency. The two mounting portions are grounded to the chassis of a system having the magnetic disk device mounted thereon. Mounting members having the electrical insulating property are fitted in the mounting holes of the six mounting portions which are disposed in positions electrically closer to the magnetic head and the mounting members are electrically isolated from the chassis of the system when they are mounted on the chassis of the system by use of fixing screws.

摘要： A conveying unit receives a sheet from an upstream unit and conveys the sheet on a conveying path. A stacking unit stacks the sheet conveyed from the conveying unit. An aligning unit sets the sheet back in a direction opposite to a sheet conveying direction and aligns the sheet by bumping the sheet against a reference wall. A sheet discharging unit discharges the sheet aligned on the stacking unit. When a predetermined condition is satisfied, a control unit sets a timing for discharging the sheet by the sheet discharging unit earlier than a normal sheet discharge timing.
