[Also in Group XXX] Bottles A, Fig. 1, are fed from a table 4 to holders B on an intermittently driven conveyer 6 and carried through a chamber 31 in which hot water is sprayed into the bottles by nozzles 9, and thence through hot water tanks 32, 33 to be sprayed subsequently with caustic soda solution by nozzles 10, and then immersed in hot water in a tank 34. After leaving the tank 34 the bottles are cleaned externally by brushes 11 and 11a and hot water sprays 12, 14a and interrally by brushes 13 and a hot water spray 14. Finally, the bottles are sterilized by jets of chlorinated water from nozzles 15, 15a before being discharged by a push-rod 7 on to a conveyer 8. The chain conveyer 6 is driven intermittently by ratchet wheels 48, Figs. 2 and 4, on the shaft 49 of the chaindriving wheels 50. Rocking arms 46 carrying pawls 47 operating the ratchet wheels 48 are coupled by connecting rods 45 to crank discs 44, 44a, respectively. The disc 44a is secured integrally to a gear-wheel 41 operatively connected to a motor M through variable speed belt pulleys 35, 36, a worm 37 and worm wheel 38, a shaft 30, and gears 39, 40. The intermittent movements of the conveyer 6 are variable in stroke by the adjustment of cams 52 which disengage the pawls 47 from the ratchet wheels 48. The shaft 30 also drives through gears 29, 28, cam 20, lever 60, and connecting rod 61, a shaft 63 carrying a lever 62 which operates, through crank arms 66, 67, mechanism for respectively reciprocating push-up rods 16 to lift the bottles A into engagement with the brushes 11, and reciprocating the brushes 13.

SOLUTION: The theft preventive device for a crank arm type bicycle or a special pedal type bicycle has special pedals 3 each equipped with a built-in pedal 3a or lock bar tip 5a where a pedal length is made adjustable, whereby rotation to inside the frame body 8 of the bicycle is generated, and inserted between spokes 15 of the rear wheel 14 so that locking is generated by the one-touch motion of a cylinder lock 4, and thereby it is possible to preclude riding away or a theft.
