    • Disclosed is a light-emitting device that exhibits good color rendering and highly efficiently emits white light in an incandescent bulb color range. The semiconductor light-emitting device (1) of the present invention includes: a semiconductor light-emitting element (2) that emits blue light; a green phosphor (14) that absorbs the blue light and emits green light; and an orange phosphor (13) that absorbs the blue light and emits orange light. The orange phosphor (13) produces an emission spectrum having a peak at a wavelength of equal to or greater than 590 nm but equal to or less than 630 nm and having a full width at half maximum of 130 nm or greater at the peak, the full width at half maximum of the emission spectrum of the orange phosphor (13) being broader than a full width at half maximum of an emission spectrum of the green phosphor (14). The orange phosphor (13) exhibits an absorptance having a peak wavelength of 420 nm or greater. ABS(530) and ABS(MAX) satisfy a relation, ABS(530)/ABS(MAX)

    • The present invention provides an outdoor floor construction, having at least first and second floor surface units. The first and second floor surface units are installable adjacent each other and capable of assembly with edges abutting each other. There is at least a first hole in first floor surface unit and a second hole in the second floor surface unit. In addition, there is at least one joint member having means for supporting the floor surface units and which is aligned below the first hole and said second hole. The joint member has at least a first and second latching piece. A first latching piece fits into the first hole and the second latching piece fits into the second hole thereby retaining the first and second floor surface units with respect to one another. Wall units may also be installed along the outer edge of the floor using similar construction.

    • A non-aqueous secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode material mixture layer containing a lithium-containing transition metal oxide. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode material mixture layer and a porous layer containing an insulating material unreactive with lithium formed thereon. The negative electrode material mixture layer includes a negative electrode material including a core and a carbon covering layer covering a surface of the core. The core includes a material containing silicon and oxygen at an atomic ratio x of the oxygen to the silicon of 0.5≦×≦1.5. The material containing silicon and oxygen has a peak at least in a range of 1850 to 1860 eV in an X-ray absorption near edge structure spectrum at the K absorption edge of Si in a state in which discharge of the battery is finished.
