    • A motor-driven compressor includes a housing, a rotary shaft, a compression mechanism and an electric motor. The housing includes a suction port and a discharge port. The compression mechanism is disposed in the housing and compresses refrigerant flowed through the suction port into the compression mechanism and discharges the refrigerant through the discharge port. The electric motor is disposed in the housing and drives the rotary shaft to rotate to drive the compression mechanism. The electric motor includes a rotor fixedly mounted on the rotary shaft and a stator fixed to the housing. The rotor includes a permanent magnet and a compressor interior environment improvement agent containing at least one of an absorbent for absorbing moisture and a neutralizer for neutralizing acid.

    • An inverter device includes a filter circuit, an inverter circuit, an electric current detecting circuit, a voltage detecting circuit, a control circuit for outputting a drive signal so as to switch switching devices, and an internal power supply. The control circuit includes a shutdown circuit for stopping outputting the drive signal to the switching devices when an electric current flowing through a motor is an overcurrent or a voltage across the inverter circuit is an overvoltage or the voltage outputted from the internal power supply is not stabilized. When electric power by residual charge in the capacitor is used after the inverter device is disconnected from a high-voltage battery, the control circuit generates the drive signal based on a reference waveform and three commands for keeping switching devices corresponding to one phase in either ON or OFF state and for switching ON and OFF the other remaining switching devices.

    • A heat release device is for use with a multilayer board that has an inner layer serving as a power layer. The heat release device includes a heat release member thermally and electrically connected to the power layer, and a heat release board having a heat release layer and a shield layer electrically insulated from each other. The heat release layer is thermally and electrically connected to the heat release member. The shield layer serves to shield against electromagnetic noise radiated from the heat release layer. The shield layer is electrically insulated from the heat release member connected to the heat release layer. The heat release device also includes an electrically conductive member electrically connected to the shield layer and grounded, and an insulator through which the heat release layer is thermally connected to the electrically conductive member.

    • A stator of a motor includes a stator core having a plurality of teeth forming slots between any two adjacent teeth and a plurality of phase coils provided in the slots, each formed by wave winding and made of a continuous wire. Each phase coil includes a first wave winding bundle and a second wave winding bundle that is passed through a first slot and a second slot. The first slot is located adjacent to one side of a group of slots through which the phase coils other than said each phase coil are passed and the second slot is located adjacent to the other side of the group of slots. The first wave winding bundle is passed through a third slot and a fourth slot. The third slot is located adjacent to the first slot on the opposite side of the first slot from the group of slots and the fourth slot is located adjacent to the second slot on the opposite side of the second slot from the group of slots.
