    • A printed note deposit machine, comprises: a user recognition unit identifying a user with an authenticated person; an inlet unit serving as a receiving teller in which printed notes are deposited; a dispensing unit receiving printed notes deposited in the inlet unit to dispense them in sequence; an identifying unit classifying the dispensed printed notes into four categories of authenticated notes, counterfeit notes, unidentifiable notes, and rejected notes, and identified them with the four categories; a temporary money holder temporarily storing the authenticated, counterfeit, and unidentified notes but the rejected ones therein; a plurality of storage cells storing the printed notes after they are temporarily stored in the previous stage; and a rejection unit accumulating the printed notes identified with the rejected notes by the identifying unit to return them to the user. A printed note deposit system, comprises: a plurality of the printed note deposit machines; a database apparatus installed in a central office and receiving transaction data from the memory of each of the printed note deposit machines to accumulate the transaction data; and a trace unit matching the transaction data accumulated in the database apparatus with transaction data on the detected counterfeit or unidentified notes to track down a user of the unauthenticated notes.

    • A semiconductor wafer to be diced into individual SBDs, HEMTs or MESFETs has a substrate with a main semiconductor region and counter semiconductor region formed on its opposite surfaces. The main semiconductor region is configured to provide the desired semiconductor devices. In order to counterbalance the warping effect of the main semiconductor region on the substrate, as well as to enhance the voltage strength of the devices made from the wafer, the counter semiconductor region is made similar in configuration to the main semiconductor region. The main semiconductor region and counter semiconductor region are arranged in bilateral symmetry as viewed in a cross-sectional plane at right angles with the substrate surfaces.

    • A current detector comprising a current-path conductor assembly and a Hall generator assembly. The current-path conductor assembly includes a sheet-metal current-path conductor and a plastic conductor holder molded in one piece therewith. The Hall generator assembly includes a Hall generator in the form of a semiconductor chip mounted to a metal-made mounting plate, a set of leads electrically connected to the Hall generator, and a plastic encapsulation enveloping the Hall generator and parts of the leads. The Hall generator assembly and the current-path conductor assembly are combined by bonding together the encapsulation of the Hall generator assembly and the conductor holder of the current-path conductor assembly. The conductor holder and the encapsulation are shaped in interfitting relationship to each other, so that when they are united, the Hall generator is positioned to generate a Hall voltage in response to a magnetic field due to the current flowing through the current-path conductor.
