    • A connector has an inner housing with a cavity for housing a terminal fitting, an outer housing assembled displaceably to the inner housing and a rubber plug. The rubber plug has a sealing portion, a vibration reducing portion and a vibration absorbing portion. The sealing portion is mounted fixedly on a rear end portion of the terminal fitting and is brought into close contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cavity. The vibration reducing portion is fit in a holding hole formed in the outer housing and thus is displaced with the outer housing. The vibration absorbing portion has a smaller thickness than the vibration reducing portion and connects the sealing portion to the vibration reducing portion. The vibration absorbing portion is outside the holding hole and in front of the holding hole.

    • A detector (60) is assembled with a lock arm (12) of a housing (10) to be movable between a standby position and a detection position. The detector (60) can move from the standby position to the detection position when the housing (10) is connected properly with a mating housing (90), and a movement thereof to the detection position is prevented when the housing (10) is connected partly with the mating housing (90). The detector (60) is formed with a window (69).     • A connector has female and male housings (10, 80) and a detector (50) that can move from a preventing position to a locking position on the female housing (10). Preventing portions (57) of the detector (50) engage retainers (59) of the female housing (10) if the detector (50) is pushed towards the locking position before the housings (10, 80) are connected. Detector lock arms (52) slide in contact with interfering portions (89) of the male housing (80) and deform if the detector (50) is pushed towards the locking position when the housings (10, 80) are connected. Thus, the preventing portions (57) separate from the retainers (59) and the detector (50) can move to the locking position as the detector lock arms (52) deform. The detector lock arms (52) restore and engage interlocking portions (88) of the male housing (80) as the detector (50) reaches the locking position.

    • A first housing (10) is formed with guiding holes (24) through which a releasing member (27) is inserted while being held in contact therewith in a movable range between a standby area and a releasing position.
