摘要： This invention describes a water-impermeable elastomer-coated cloth composite in which the end sections of mutually adjacent elastomer-coated cloths are overlapped and sewn together in such a way that the thread passes up and down through this overlapped section. After a seam is sewn together, it is covered by an adhesive tape applied so that it extends over the sewn section of the seam and onto the portion of each section of the cloth beyond the sewn section to form a strong, watertight, airtight composite.

摘要： A method for fabricating foam gaskets is characterized in that during the separate transport and subsequent mixing in an enclosed chamber of the base and curing agent portions of a two part foamable and curable organosiloxane composition an inert gas is injected in the amount of from 1 to 50 mL per 100 g of the total curable organosiloxane composition. The gas is injected into either the base portion, the curing agent or during or immediately after mixing of the two portions, and the resultant foamable composition is then extruded from a nozzle onto the seal region of the substrate and cured while foaming.

摘要： In accordance with the present method for preparing an elastomeric silicone foam, an inert gas is injected under superatmospheric pressure during or after the merging of a silanol-containing organopolysiloxane that is liquid at room temperature an organohydrogenpolysiloxane that is liquid at room temperature, and hydrosilation catalyst, the merging step is followed by mechanical mixing in an enclosed chamber, at which time the mixture is ejected into the atmosphere. Completion of cure with simultaneous evolution of hydrogen occur under atmospheric pressure with the reactive ingredients and the inert gas all present in a homogeneously microdispersed/mixed state. The present method stabilizes the cells formed by the hydrogen and makes possible the development of a large quantity of cells of uniform size and uniform distribution, resulting in a high-expansion ratio foam.

摘要： A jointed watertight, airtight, elastomer-coated material is described. The material consists essentially of a first elastomer-coated fabric material and a second elastomer-coated fabric material, said second material being overlaid at an edge over an edge of the first material. The overlaid portion of each material is laminated to the other with a pressure-sensitive adhesive intercalated between the two materials. The laminated portion is further bound with a fastener which penetrates across the laminated portion in an up-and-down manner. Typical fasteners are thread, rivets, or bolts. The jointed material can be further bound by a tacky tape which is adhered on the bound portion of one material and the unbound portion of the other material, covering the joint between the edges of the two materials. The jointed waterproof, airtight, elastomer-coated fabric material is particularly useful for air-supported structures.
