[Class 117] A rotatable sifting device, e.g. for cinders comprises a container 17 rotatably mounted inside a chamber 15 and provided with an opening, closed by e.g. two flap members 20, 21, hinged at 22, 23 and with apertures, e.g. provided by a mesh construction, on one or more sides means being operable from outside the chamber for securing the closure members or flaps. The container is provided with trunnions 13, 14 mounted in opposite walls of the chamber 15 and one trunnion 13 is extended through the wall of chamber 15 and provided with a handle 24, Fig. 3. The securing means, as shown, comprises a rod 26, one end of which is slidable axially in the trunnion 13, while the other end, when the rod is pressed inwardly, engages between the under surface of the flap 20 and a rod 28 secured to the flap. Both flaps 20 and 21 are thereby locked in place since the flap 20 overlaps lugs 27 on the flap 21. Rod 26 slides in a guide formed by two parallel members 29 secured to end plate 18 of the container. A locking device may be provided for securing the container against rotation while material is being put into it. The chamber is provided with a removable tray to receive the portion of material passing through the sieve, and above it another tray 31 having a bottom 33 of mesh construction into which the coarser material is discharged when the opening is in the lower position and the flaps 20, 21 released by operation of the rod 26. The sides of the container may be formed by detachable mesh-covered frameworks, sets of frameworks having different sized meshes being interchangeable.

    • At a milling machine to work ground surfaces, with a machine frame, a milling drum supported at the machine frame, at least one transport device arranged at the machine frame which accepts the milled material from the milling drum, as well as with a suction device for the air polluted with dusts and vapors, whereby the milled material on the at least one transport device is enclosed by a channel, the suction device is connected to a rear channel section of the channel in the direction of the material transport and sucks off the air polluted during milling at the milling drum and in the rear channel section essentially in the direction of the material transport, it is provided that the suction device consists of a suction ventilator, a separator device for solids and a suction channel which is connected to the rear channel section, that the suction ventilator is arranged downstream of the separator device, and that the suction device disposes of the separated solids onto the transport device in a forward channel section in the direction of the material transport or into a collecting device, and the suction ventilator blows off the cleaned air into the environment.
