The reel must have at least three coils with its free end extending into the direction of unwinding. The reel also features a retaining device, which secures a releasable connection between the free end and another metal strip coil or—if available—a spool, thus preventing that the reel unwinds. The invention-based embodiment proposes a shape-mated connection.

The closure clip further comprises a die for closing the closure clip. The closure clip further comprises two guide channels for guiding the second ends of the closure clip, which are separated from each other by a land.

摘要： The invention relates to a coil (10) comprised of a metal strand (12) having projections (14), particularly a clip strand for packaging installations. The coil has at least three windings and a free end (16) located toward the front in the unwinding direction of the metal strand, and has a first securing element (22), which provides a releasable connection of the metal strand in the area of its free end to a section of the metal strand, which belongs to another winding, or, if present, to a spool (18). The releasable connection is provided such that it prevents the free end from unwinding. The invention provides that the connection is one of positive engagement.
