A calculating device comprises an arm 14 pivoted at 4 to a baseplate 1 and bearing graduations 18 coacting with charted curves 12 on the base-plate, a graduated scale 9 secured to the baseplate beyond the free end of the arm 14 and an arcuate member 6 positioned between the arm 14 and scale 9, this member bearing graduations 30 and 26 coacting, respectively, with the scale 9 and graduations 27 on the arm 14. The device is especially applicable to photographic exposure determination; the curves 12 are then marked with values of light source intensity, the graduations 18 represent distances of light source to subject, graduations 26 represent emulsion speed, graduations 27 take account of speed variation due to processing, whilst scales 9 and 30 show appropriate lens apertures and exposure times in juxtaposition. In the particular form shown the graduations 18 are marked on a slide 15 adjustable along the arm 14 to take account of two further factors represented by coacting scales 22 and 24; these factors may be the use of a diffused light source or coated lens, and the emphasis of high-light or shadow detail.

    • A rail cover and support for mounting and insulating the rails of an electric transit system in which the rail cover is vulcanized both to the rail and outer skid support at the manufacturing site prior to delivery to the field and a rail cover completely surrounds both the base flange and web portion of each rail and terminates along the undersides of the top flange. In one form, the upper free ends of the rail cover are increased in thickness to form bumpers along opposite sides of the rail to cushion it against undue shifting or vibration. In fabricating the rail, a sheet dielectric material is vulcanized to the rail with or without a skid plate.

    • Methods and systems provide clickstream captures at both local and remote components by receiving user commands generated by the viewer locally where at least some of those commands are then sent to the remote component concurrently relative to when they are generated by the viewer. Commands may be captured and stored locally while the commands that are sent to the remote component are captured and then stored remotely from the premises of the viewer. Additionally, the user commands may be executed locally such as at a viewer appliance and/or remotely such as at a video control system of a television network. Information related to these user commands continues to be stored locally and/or remotely from the premises of the viewer after the user commands have been executed. Thus, the information related to these user commands can be processed as necessary and used for various purposes.
