摘要： A stereoscopic image display device includes a display panel, a temporal division plate and a lenticular lens. The display panel includes a gate line, a data line, and a unit pixel of a horizontal pixel structure in which a long side is parallel with the first direction and a short side is parallel with the second direction. The display panel displays a 2D image based on an image control signal. The temporal division plate includes a plurality of shutters disposed on the display panel extending in the second direction. The temporal division plate opens and closes m shutters corresponding to each unit pixel, in a sequence, ‘m’ being a natural number no less than 2). The lenticular lens is disposed on the temporal division plate to convert the 2D image passing the temporal division plate into a 3D image.

摘要： In a stereoscopic image conversion panel and a stereoscopic image display apparatus, the stereoscopic display panel includes a first lens substrate, a second lens substrate, a stereoscopic image lens part and a lens liquid crystal layer. The stereoscopic image lens part is disposed between the first and second substrates, and includes a main lens and sub-lenses with a concave shape. At least one sub-lens is disposed at opposite edge portions of the main lens. The lens liquid crystal layer is received by the main lens and the sub-lenses, is disposed between the first and second lens substrates, and includes liquid crystal molecules having an anisotropic refractive index. The lens liquid crystal layer refracts a polarized light at an interface between the lens liquid crystal layer and the stereoscopic lens part, to convert a flat image into a stereoscopic image. Therefore, the thickness of the stereoscopic image panel can be reduced.

摘要： The present invention provides an electro-optic unit. A lens unit disposed at an upper portion of a display panel has a plurality of lens part. An electro-optic unit is disposed between a display panel and a lens unit, and includes an electro-optic material layer formed as a graded refractive index lens in an electric field. A display device shows a two-dimensional and a three-dimensional image according to a mode of the electro-optic unit. A driving part may form the graded refractive index lens to have the same pitch as the pitch of the lens part. The graded refractive index lens may be formed as a convex lens or a Fresnel lens. The electro-optic unit is displayed to form the Fresnel lens. A driving method enhancing mode conversion velocity of the electro-optic unit is displayed.

摘要： In a transflective-type display panel and a display apparatus having the transflective-type display panel, the transflective-type display panel includes a first display substrate, a second display substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first display substrate includes a first substrate and a common electrode arranged on the first substrate. The second display substrate includes a second substrate having a main pixel area where a plurality of sub pixel areas are formed, a plurality of transmission electrodes formed in the sub pixel areas and coupled with each other, and a reflection electrode arranged in at least one sub pixel area. Thus, the transflective-type display panel improves a viewing angle and a display quality thereof and improves productivity.
