    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform locking and unlocking many times by rotating a center pin by a hexagonal rod spanner. SOLUTION: It is confirmed that the lock pin 2 is situated further inner side than the screw part of a hexagonal bolt 5 and the bolt is inserted in a machined member by using a spanner through rotation until it is completely fastened. By inserting a hexagonal spanner 6 into the hexagonal hole of a central pin 4 and rotating it in a 180 deg. arc, the tip of the lock pin 2 is protruded through the thread part of a hexagonal bolt 5 from the inside to the outside and the screw cutting part of a member is pressed. To prevent displacement of the central pin 4, a stopper 7 is fitted in the head part groove of the central pin 4. The above is procedures when a lock work is carried out by using a bolt. The stopper 7 is removed from the head groove of the central pin 4 and by rotating the central pin 4 in a 180 deg. arc again by using the hexagonal spanner 6, release from locking is executed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine easily and accurately the hardness of a ball by arranging stopper pins and determination labels at both front and rear ends of a device body made by bending a metal plate into an approximate U shape and varying the angle of opening of the device body in accordance with the hardness of a tennis ball inserted into the interior of the device body. SOLUTION: A measuring instrument 1 is formed by bending a metal plate into an approximate U shape. A stopper pin 2 is penetrated into the front end of the measuring instrument 1 and a determination label 3 marked in a plurality of colors including white, red, yellow and blue is pasted to the rear end and a determination window 4 is opened at the rear end face. In using, a tennis ball 5 is inserted into the interior of the measuring instrument 1, and the end is contacted to the stopper pin 2. Then, in accordance with the hardness of the ball, the angle of opening of the measuring instrument 1 varies, and the color of the determination label 3 visible from the determination window changes. Therefore, by determining the color seen, the hardness of the ball can be determined easily and accurately.

    • A clarificant of wastewater comprises an aqueous solution of a polynuclear complex salt comprising sulfates of a plurality of the metals K, Fe, Ca, Na, Mg and Al, e.g. containing per 1000 ml of water 0.78-5.63 g K⁺ ions, 6.00-72.60 g Fe⁺⁺, 0.12-1.20 g Ca⁺⁺, 0.10-1.00 g Na⁺, 6.56-19-70 g Mg⁺⁺, 6.21-35.00 g Al⁺⁺⁺ and 106.08-463.77 g SO₄⁻⁻ ions.
      It is prepared by heating, e.g. at 100° - 190°C and a pressure of 1 to 10.0 kgf/cm², isochorically an aqueous solution containing the said mixture of sulfates, e.g. containing 0.02-0.08 M K⁺, 0.11-1.31 M Fe⁺⁺, 0.003-0.30 M Ca⁺⁺, 0.004-0.40 M Na⁺, 0.27-0.81 M Mg⁺⁺ and 0.370-1.300 Al⁺⁺⁺.
      The solution is added to and rapidly stirred with wastewater to adjust its pH to 4-5 and an alkali, e.g. Ca(OH)₂, is added until the pH is 6-8.5, so as to flocculate nearly all the suspended contaminants and the floc is removed.
      The wastewater treated can be industrial or domestic effluent water or natural water, and there is thus obtained a reduction in biological and chemical oxygen demands and in suspended solids.
