    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation control device capable of generating relatively high engaging force and disengaging force by avoiding use of spline connection, and capable of limiting degree of an axial directional load to be applied to a bearing inside thereof. SOLUTION: The rotation control devices 10 and 10a for controlling transmission of rotating force between a first and a second relatively rotating members 26, 120 and 120a are provided with pistons 76 and 76a. The pistons are connected to the second member through a bearing unit 146 for simultaneous movement in the axial direction with the second member, and relative rotation between the pistons 76 and 76a and the second members 120 and 120a and simultaneous shift thereof in the axial direction are thereby enabled. The pistons 76 and 76a are connected to the only first member 26 by using one or more springs 116, and as a result, relative rotation is partially generated between the pistons 76 and 76a and the first member 26.
