    • The invention relates to a method for calibrating and/or validating a system for performing a microarray experiment, in addition to a microarray, and a kit therefor. The inventive method comprises the following steps: a) a microarray is prepared, said microarray comprising at least one first measuring point containing probe molecules (PM) that are complementary to the target molecules and can form, with the target molecules, hybrids that have a melting temperature Tm(PM), and at least one second measuring point containing probe molecules (MM1) that are partially complementary to the target molecules and can form, with the target molecules, partial hybrids that have a melting temperature Tm(MM1); b) target molecules are provided, that are complementary to probe molecules (PM) in at least one first measuring point of the microarray; c) a hybridisation experiment is performed with the microarray and the target molecules, with variation of a defined parameter; and d) the signal intensities are determined according to the variation of the parameter. The parameter value at the maximum difference between the signal intensities of the first and second measuring points is the parameter value for which the system is approximately in equilibrium in relation to the hybrids in the first measuring point, and according to which the system is calibrated.
