摘要： An electrode which comprises a substrate of a valve metal or an alloy thereof having properties similar to those of the valve metal and a coating comprising an outer layer which comprises RuO2, an oxide of at least one non-noble metal and at least one other noble metal or oxide thereof and an intermediate layer having a composition different from that of the outer layer and which comprises RuO2 and an oxide of at least one non-noble metal. The electrode is particularly useful as an anode for an electrolytic cell, eg a chlor-alkali cell, it has a lifetime therein which is greater than the sum of the operational life-times of electrodes which comprise a valve metal substrate and which separately comprise one of the above layers which together form a part of the coating of that electrode.

摘要： Abstract The Paladin Securities Capital Guarantee allows fund managers or institutional investors to combine high performance investment strategies with capital security that is wholly comprised of bank-issued deposit products that are senior, unsubordinated retail deposit obligations of the issuing banks - meaning that they rank as the highest priority of the banks' obligations in the event of a liquidation or a receivership. It therefore allows investment managers to provide flexible investment and capital protection options to individual retail, professional, wholesale or institutional investors whereby the investor can select, at the outset of their investment, the proportion of the investment to be capital protected and the term over which the capital protection applies. Additionally, the capital guarantee can be fixed to a longer term than normally available via standard fixed term deposits and, unlike term deposits, has the ability to capitalise interest for the term without triggering a tax event in each financial year.
