摘要： The invention relates to a fluorescent lamp (1), with a tubular discharge vessel (2) filled with inert gas, and a layer of fluorescent material (6), comprising long electrodes (3; 4; 12; 14a-14d) which are positioned parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tubular discharge vessel (2). At least one electrode (3; 4; 12; 14a-14d) is positioned on the internal wall of the discharge vessel (2). Said tubular discharge vessel (2) is sealed at one or both ends with a stopper (8) and by means of soldering (9), so that it is gas-tight. The at least one internal wall electrode (4) also leads outside via said soldering in such a way that it remains gas tight. Alternatively or additionally, at least one electrode (16) is positioned inside the wall of the discharge vessel (2). A maximum of the entire interior diameter can be used as discharge distance, depending on the positioning of the corresponding counter electrode. High luminance levels are achieved as a result of the large and also constant discharge distance throughout the length of the discharge tube. The lamp is suitable for a pulsed, dielectrically inhibited discharge.

摘要： A method for producing pulsed-voltage sequences for the operation of discharge lamps (8) by means of a pulsed discharge which is impeded dielectrically provides that the pulsed-voltage sequence is composed of two partial voltage sequences in such a manner that the magnitudes of the peak values of each partial voltage sequence are less than the magnitudes of the peak values of the resultant pulsed-voltage sequence, for example half as large. This has the advantage that correspondingly less EMI is generated when the partial-voltage sequences are produced. In addition, the two partial voltage sequences contain rising flanks of opposite gradient with respect to a reference-earth potential, the two partial voltage sequences preferably being inverted with respect to one another. This provides ideal complete compensation for the electromagnetic interference (EMI) produced by the two partial voltage sequences, at least locally. A circuit arrangement for this purpose provides two pulse circuits (1; 2) which are connected in series and are synchronized with the aid of a timer circuit (3).

摘要： A gas-discharge lamp radiating incoherent light has the electrodes fed by a series of voltage pulses whose shape varies with time, between which are periods of zero voltage. The pulse amplitudes equal the restrike voltage. The duration of the pulses and the spaces between them vary according to the gas filling, the arc length, the dielectric layers between the electrodes and the gas and the electrode configuration. The pulse duration in particular lies between .01 and 10 microseconds whereas the product of pulse duration and gas pressure lies between .01 and 10 Pascal- seconds. The pulse amplitude also depends on the same factors and in particular, lies between .01 and 1 volt per centimetre of arc length per Pascal pressure.
