    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use liquid fuel in place of gas fuel and save a fuel cost without extremely increasing the entire configuration and size of a refrigerating machine by modifying the combustion system device of an air cooled ammonia absorption refrigerating machine.
      SOLUTION: A flame is jetted by directing the nozzle of a gun type kerosene burner 8 sideward a generator 1, namely, to the side part of the generator 1 without directing it directly to the generator 1 as shown by an allow D. Generally, fuel oil generates a long and large flame, however, the flame is guided by a flame passage wall 14 and turned in a L-shape to complete a combustion reaction. As a result of the combustion, a produced high temperature combustion gas flow flows while it comes into contact with heat transfer fins 1a forming the heat receiving part of the generator 1 as shown by arrows e to heat them. The L-shaped long and large flame 9L does not reach the heat transfer fins 1a. Thus, there is no possibility that the heat transfer fins 1a are overheated and soot is not stuck to the heat transfer fins 1a to disturb a thermal conduction.
