    • The invention relates to an absorber (1) or a regenerator. A liquid in said absorber (1) runs across an exchange surface to interact with a gas for the exchange of humidity. The liquid is supplied to the exchange surface by a distribution device (6) wherein the liquid, depending on the volume flow, automatically takes a first path (59) towards the exchange surface (3) or cumulatively uses paths (59, 60). This allows different volume flows of the liquid to be taken into account while the exchange surface (3) is well and evenly wetted with the liquid. The absorber (1) according to the invention is especially suitable for use in a sorption reservoir system, for example for heating, cooling and/or dehumidifying a building.
