    • The present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody which recognizes a polypeptide which in its active form is capable of decomposing the substrate MeO-Suc-Arg-Pro-Tyr-pNA (S-2586), the decomposition by the polypeptide being inhibited by aprotinin, chymostatin and zinc sulphate, and which polypeptide:

      a) has an amino acid sequence which has a homology of at least 80% with the amino acid sequence 1-224 in SEQ ID NO:2;
      b) has an amino acid sequence from which a constitutive string of 20 amino acids is homologous to a degree of at least 95% with a string of amino acids of the same length selected from the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2; or
      c) is a subsequence of the polypeptide in a) comprising from 50 to 250 amino acids.

      The invention further relates to a monoclonal antibody as defined above for the treatment of disease conditions in animals and humans and to pharmaceutical compositions comprising an antibody as defined above or a functional derivative thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.

    • The present invention refers to a tool for breaking, cutting or working of solid materials, said tool (13) being intended to be rotatably mounted in a holder (16) and being provided with a hard material cutting insert (15) and a generally cylindrical shaft (14), that is intended to be received in the holder (16), and that a clip (10;10a;10b;10c;10d) is mounted on the shaft (14), said clip (10-10d) being generally cylindrical and having a slot (11) that extends between the ends of the clip, and that the shaft (14) has a tangentially extending groove (17;17a;17b;17c;17d).
      The aim of the invention is to present a clip (10-10d) that decreases the wearing of the shaft (14) of the tool (13) and the holder (16). Also the rotation of the tool (13) in the holder (16) is improved.
      The characterizing features of the tool (13) are that the shaft (14) has essentially the same diameter on both sidesof the groove (17-17d) and that the clip (10-10d) has engagement means (12-12d) for cooperation with the groove (17-17d).

    • The present invention relates to a mammalian expression system comprising a DNA sequence encoding a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2 or a variant thereof which has a biological activity of human EC-SOD. The mammalian expression system is preferably expressed in a non-human mammal selected from the group consisting of rabbits, mice, rats, goats, sheep, pigs, lama, camels and bovine species. The invention includes expression systems, wherein the variant has a reduced heparin affinity as compared to human EC-SOD type C such as the variants T216, T215, T213, T209, SAT216, SRT216, SA219, SA220 and SA211-213, and expression systems wherein the variant has an increased heparin affinity as compared to human EC-SOD type C such as the variants SA216, SA216/218 and SA216/220. Within the scope of the invention is also DNA fragments, hybrid genes, expression vectors, cells, methods for producing a transgenic non-human mammal capable of expressing EC-SOD as defined above, and non-human mammals expressing EC-SOD.
