    • The invention relates to a searchlight operated by a device featuring power supply without wiring. The modern searchlight can only rotate through 360 DEG horizontally and a maximum of 50 DEG vertically. Furthermore, a searchlight of this type has an end stop and must be returned by the same path, which occupies unnecessary time, for example in an emergency situation, and also employs electrical leads which fail due to the fatigue caused by constant back and forth movement. The invention solves this problem by means of a power supply arrangement which, instead of wiring, employs a modified slip ring arrangement, enabling the searchlight to rotate through 360 DEG horizontally and 360 DEG vertically without end stops. Thus, it can rotate uninterrupted in both the horizontal and vertical directions while lit. The invention may be used on rescue vehicles, work vehicles, workboats, leisure craft, coastguard vessels, etc., in other words, in all applications in which work lighting or a searchlight is required.
