    • An axial blower 1 is provided of the type that comprises an essentially circular-cylindrical blower tube 2 with an internal and an external diameter, wherein a blower rotor 11 is configured with an external diameter that is slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the blower tube 2, said blower rotor 11 having a rotor shaft that essentially coincides with the central axis in the circular-cylindrical blower tube 2 and is configured such that, at its one end, the blower tube 2 has a suction side and, at its opposite and, a discharge side defined by the configuration and direction of rotation of the blower rotor 11, and wherein, before the suction side of the blower tube 2, a funnel 3 is configured with an internal surface that converges towards the internal diameter of the blower tube 2. The axial blower 1 is optimized in that the funnel 3 is, before the suction side of the axial blower, cut off on one side to the effect that the outermost edge of the funnel 3, seen from the central axis 2 of the blower tube, is smaller on that side than on other sides.
