摘要： Coated paperboard for formed articles, which paperboard consists of a fibermatrix in one, two or more layers and a coating and has adequate surface for printing and adequate surface gloss for each specific type of formed articles, is disclosed. The paperboard has been calendered after coating with a heatable calender having a soft extended nip, and has reduced density and reduced grammage at a given value for bending force compared to corresponding coated paperboard which has been calendered before or before and after coating with a heatable or non-heatable calender having a hard or soft nip. Additionally, a production line for the production of such coated paperboard, a process for the production of such coated paperboard, and a method of reducing the susceptibility to crack formation at folding of such a coated paperboard, are described.

摘要： It is known to filter a suspension or emulsion in a filter bed of particulate filter medium (1) by allowing the suspension to flow upwards through the filter bed simultaneously as the medium (1) flows downwards through a filtering tank (2) wherein filtration takes place. Filtration thus takes place during counterflow between suspension and filter medium. The supply of suspension takes place in the lower part (4) of the filter bed and the filtered liquid phase is taken away from a zone (8) above the filter bed. The polluted filter medium close to the bottom of the filter tank is taken out for conveyance to a washing apparatus (13) above the filter bed and after washing is returned to the upper side of the filter bed. For providing a filter which has a considerably lower construction height than previously for a given and unchanged volume of the filter medium, the washing apparatus (13) is now lowered so that its lower part is at a level below the upper surface of the filter bed.

摘要： An uncoated paperboard for packages composed of one or more layers with a top layer of bleached kraft pulp having a gloss value of 15 - 50 % measured according to Tappi T480, a minimal gloss variation (a coefficient of variation in the wavelength regions 3-30 mm of less than 5 %), and a surface roughness (PPS-10) of 2 - 5 mm measured according to ISO 8791-4, wherein the paperboard has a density in the range of 700 to 850 kg/m3 and is hydrophobic from a sizing agent treatment of each layer, is described. A package comprising the paperboard is suitable for co-sterilization of the package and its contents.
