    • A system and method is provided for removing a condensate from a synthetic gas treatment system. The method includes feeding a first fluid stream into a bottom section of a scrubber chamber defined by a scrubber shell of a scrubber. The first fluid stream includes at least one condensable component. A second fluid stream is fed into a top section of the scrubber chamber, such that the second fluid stream flows in the scrubber chamber in a countercurrent flow direction to the first fluid stream. The second fluid stream contacts the first fluid stream causing the at least one condensable component to form the condensate, such that the condensate and the second fluid stream are collected in the bottom section of the scrubber chamber. The method further includes feeding a third fluid stream into the top section of the scrubbing chamber, such that the third fluid stream contacts the condensate and the second fluid stream and forms an emulsion. At least a portion of the emulsion including the condensate flows from the synthetic gas treatment system.

    • An engine system and method for preheating a fuel for a cold startup of an IC engine are provided. The engine system may include an IC engine coupled to a source of fuel and configured to receive and combust a fuel from the source to rotate a shaft. The engine system may also include a heat exchanger fluidly coupled to the source of fuel and disposed upstream of the IC engine, and a preheat circuit. The preheat circuit may include a pump in fluid communication with the heat exchanger, a motor coupled to the pump and configured to drive the pump, and a preheater in fluid communication with the pump. The pump may be configured to pressurize a heat transfer medium and the preheater may be configured to preheat the heat transfer medium, the heat transfer medium being introduced to the heat exchanger to warm the fuel.

    • A generator protection unit is provided including a central processing unit including at least one programmable device configured to utilize an Ethernet communication protocol. The central processing unit may be configured to synchronize a first signal generated by a generator electrically coupled to the generator protection unit to a second signal including an electrical power grid parameter of an electrical power grid, the first signal and the second signal having a phase offset. The generator protection unit may also include a plurality of multimeters, each electrically coupled to the electrical power grid and the central processing unit, and at least one display filter electrically coupled to the central processing unit and configured to separate a defined portion of a protection parameter signal, such that a remaining portion of the protection parameter signal is transmitted to the central processing unit.
