摘要： The present invention provides peptides which specifically react with B-subunit of Plasmodium falciparum vacuolar-H + ATPase (V-H + ATPase). The peptides were identified by panning phage display peptide libraries with recombinant B subunit of P.falciparum V-H + ATPase. The selected phages specifically react with P.falciparum infected cells and corresponding free peptides inhibit parasite growth in vitro . The identified peptides can be used for therapy of malaria and other diseases caused by pathogens expressing B subunit of V-H + ATPase.

摘要： The present invention is based on rapid displacement of solvents under mild vacuum in solution-solid phase reaction of immunocomplex [Ijsselmuiden et al., J. Immunol. Methods, 6 (1989): 35]. In the present invention, this is achieved by a microporous absorbing pad upon which a nitrocellulose transfer membrane is placed. The absorbing pad under mild vacuum generated/regulated by running tap effectively filters out the unbound ligand and rinsing solutions through transfer membrane, thus enhancing the reaction kinetics of immunocomplex. This mechanism, in turn reduces the incubation steps of antibody-antigen reaction from hours to few minutes, allowing total assay time in less than 20 minutes.

摘要： A process for the preparation of preceramic metallopolysilanes is described. The process consists of contacting and reacting organohalogendisilanes with metal-containing compounds in the presence of a redistribution catalyst in an inert, essentially anhydrous atmosphere while removing volatile byproducts. The resulting metallopolysilanes contain significant amounts of aluminum, boron, chromium, lanthanum, molybdenum, neodymium, niobium, samarium, tantalum, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, yttrium, or zirconium. Such metallopolysilanes can be prepared with relatively low oxygen levels. These polymers are useful as chemical intermediates to synthesize organosilicon materials or polymers. These polymers are also useful, when fired at high temperatures, to form ceramic materials.

摘要： A conditioning shampoo composition is disclosed containing a nonionic surfactant of the alkanolamide or amine oxide type, an amine functional methylsiloxane polymer, a detersive surfactant of the anionic or amphoteric type, and water. A method of preparing the shampoo composition as a stable solution is also disclosed. During use, the shampoo composition simultaneously cleanses the hair and deposits the siloxane polymer conditioning component on the hair.

摘要： Preceramic actylenic polysilanes are described which contain --(CH.sub.2).sub.w C.tbd.CR' groups attached to silicon where w is an integer from 0 to 3 and where R' is hydrogen, an alkyl radical containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a phenyl radical, or an --SiR"'.sub.3 radical wherein R"' is an alkyl radical containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The acetylenic polysilanes are prepared by reacting chlorine- or bromine-containing polysilanes with either a Grignard reagent of general formula R'C.tbd.C(CH.sub.2).sub.w MgX' where w is an integer from 0 to 3 and X' is chlorine, bromine, or iodine or an organolithium compound of general formula R'C.tbd.C(CH.sub.2).sub.w Li where w is an integer from 0 to 3. The acetylenic polysilanes can be converted to ceramic materials by pyrolysis at elevated temperatures under an inert atmosphere.

摘要： Present invention deals with a new immuno-reagent comprising hapten (MPAD)-protein-gold for pesticides detection. The conjugate MPAD-protein-gold competes with the analyte of interest for a finite number of binding sites provided by anti-atrazine antibodies coated on nitrocellulose membrane. The newly developed conjugate has a long shelf life with high stability at 4° C. The dynamic concentration range for standard atrazine solutions shows a linear inhibition (decrease in intensity of color) between 10 ppb to 1 ppm atrazine in water samples.
