    • Disclosed is a method for providing an emergency service of a terminal in a broadband mobile communication system. A method for receiving an emergency service message of a terminal in an idle mode having a paging cycle comprised of a paging available interval and a paging unavailable interval, includes: receiving a control message including information indicating that an emergency service message was transmitted in the paging available interval and information indicating a point in time at which the emergency service message was transmitted; when the point in time at which the emergency service message was transmitted comes after the paging available interval according to the results of checking the received control message, maintaining an idle mode state until before the emergency service message is received; after a first message including a system parameter is received in the paging unavailable interval, comparing a point in time at which the first message was received and the point in time at which the emergency service message was transmitted to check whether or not they correspond with each other; and when the points in time correspond with each other according to the comparison results, transitioning to a wakeup state from the point in time at which the first message was received, and receiving the emergency service message.

    • A wireless access system supporting an M2M environment and, more particularly, a method and apparatus for broadcasting a Medium Access Control (MAC) control message respective to an M2M device is disclosed herein. According to an exemplary embodiment, a method for broadcasting a control message to the M2M device in a wireless access system may include the steps of receiving a downlink MAP information element (IE), wherein the downlink MAP IE includes resource assignment information indicating a resource region, to which the control message is being transmitted, and an M2M management CID, and receiving a Medium Access Control Protocol Data Unit (MAC PDU), wherein the MAC PDU carries the control message being broadcasted from the resource region. At this point, the MAC PDU may include the M2M management CID and an M2M connection identifier (M2MCID), and the M2MCID may identify a M2M group to which the corresponding M2M device belongs.

    • Provided are a method for distinguishing different service flows when an M2M terminal transmits/receives data by using an M2M group ID (MGID) in a broadband wireless communication system supporting M2M communication, especially when each of the difference service flows are allocated with MGIDs from different network entities, and a terminal for providing same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for the terminal receiving a multicast service for group terminals from a base station, in a wireless access system, comprises the steps of: receiving from the base station a broadcasting message including at least one identifier, wherein the at least first identifier identifies a group zone that is allocated to the base station; sequentially allocating an index to the at least one first identifier; and receiving from the base station a second identifier for identifying the multicast service and multicast data based on the index.
