摘要： Multi-radio antenna apparatuses and stations for wireless networks including multiple radios coupled to a single transmit/receive antenna, in which the antenna is highly synchronized by an external (e.g., GPS) signal. These multi-radio antenna systems may provide highly resilient links. Synchronization may allow these apparatuses to organically scale the transmission throughput while preventing data loss. The single transmit/receive antenna may have a single dish or a compound (e.g., a single pair of separate transmitting and receiving dishes) and connections for two or more radios.

摘要： A method and apparatus for multiplexing a plurality of communication signals where the communication signals may operate using different protocols is provided. A communication node (102) that is a part of a communications system or network (100) is provided. The access point includes a transceiver (202, 204) for transmitting and receiving a first signal and a second signal wherein the first signal (410) is using a first protocol and the second signal (412) using a second protocol. The access point also includes a scheduler (208) for scheduling a transmit time for the first signal and for the second signal within a first frame (402, 404) and a receiving time for the first signal and for the second signal within a second frame (406, 408). A multiplexer (210) is also provided where the multiplexer combines the first signal and second signal in the first and second frames according to the scheduled transmit time and receive time.

摘要： Radio devices having separate transmission and reception reflectors for transmitting and receiving wireless signals that detect interference in a transmission channel and may be automatically or manually switch duplexing schemes when reflections, radar or other interference is detected. These devices typically include both a transmission antenna reflector and a receiving transmitter reflector, which may be connected or formed of a single housing, that are operatively coupled to radio circuitry for transmission and reception of wireless signals. Interference, and particularly reflected signals between the transmitter and receiver, are avoided by including a detector coupled to either (or both) reflectors that monitors the transmitting frequency channel; reflections and/or radar signals may be detected and may trigger switching (manual or automatic switching) to a different duplexing modes such as frequency-division duplexing (FDD), time-division duplexing (TDD), etc.

Video processing (e.g. video compression) circuitry of the camera device receives video signals from a camera and provides processed video signals. These are transmitted over a shared radio channel. A radio receiver receives processed (e.g. compressed) video signals from the base station or another camera device. Images from the camera or the base station are displayed in a selected manner on a display or monitor. The base station device receives processed (e.g. compressed) video signals, stores them and retransmits them. A command signal is received by the radio receiver to modify operation in such a manner as to control bandwidth usage. Wireless camera devices can adjust their operation to accommodate other wireless camera devices. Different transport protocol modules can be selected according to the application that the user selects for operation.

A reference carrier frequency is used during the receiver's idle mode to establish a DC offset exiting a discriminator (302). The DC offset is amplified by a video amplifier (315) and fed into an error amplifier (320) which generates the negative of the DC offset. The DC offset and the negative of the DC offset are input into a summing network (330) resulting in a zero DC offset exiting the video amplifier (315).

Radio devices and systems may include a pair of reflectors (e.g., parabolic reflectors) that are adjacent to each other and configured so that one of the reflectors is dedicated for sending/transmitting information, and the adjacent reflector is dedicated for receiving information. Both reflectors may be in a fixed configuration relative to each other so that they are aligned to send/receive in parallel. In many variations the two reflectors are formed of a single housing, so that the parallel alignment is fixed, and reflectors cannot lose alignment. The device/systems may be configured to allow switching between duplexing modes. These devices/systems may be configured as wide bandwidth zero intermediate frequency radios including alignment modules for automatic alignment of in-phase and quadrature components of transmitted signals.

Radio devices and systems may include a pair of reflectors separated by an isolation choke boundary. The device may be configured to operate in any appropriate band (e.g., a 5 GHz band, a 24 GHz band, etc.) and may simultaneously transmit and receive with minimal crosstalk. The isolation choke boundary may have ridges that extend between the first and second parabolic reflectors to a height that may be tuned to the band. The isolation choke boundary provides greater than 10 dB isolation between the first and the second parabolic reflectors may be in a fixed configuration relative to each other so that they are aligned to send/receive in parallel. The two reflectors may be formed of a single housing, with fixed parallel alignment.
