Jan. 8, Automatic circuit - breakers, especially designed for three-phase circuits, and which open when a fuse blows in any one of the phases, comprise contact-arms 7 mounted upon pivots 8, and coupled together by a bar 16, which is urged to the open position by a spring 19 and retained in the closed position by the engagement of a spring-pressed pivoted latch 21 with a lug 26. Releasing-arms 27, which tend to turn about their common pivot 28, abut at their ends against fuses 12 in series with the contacts of the switch. If any fuse blows, the corresponding releasing - arm is turned by a spring 31 until a rearward portion pressing upon a pin 32 at the end of the latch 21 takes the latch out of engagement with the lug. The contact-arms then open. To re-set the apparatus, the releasing-arm is first pushed back by depressing a spring knob 42, the blown fuse is replaced, and the handle 34 turned to the left till the latch re-engages. The switch can also be opened by a backward movement of the handle, which takes effect through a pin 37 on the upper end of the latch. Switches, partly electro -magnetic. - The spring 19 may be replaced by a permanent or electro-magnet.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for producing an extract which is capable of inducing an antioxidant stress response comprising the step of treating an extract from organic material with UV light, said extract being derived from a non-mammalian cell or a non-mammalian organism and said cell or organism being capable of synthesizing polyunsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, an extract capable of inducing an antioxidant stress response produced in accordance with the inventive methods, in particular an extract capable of inducing an antioxidant stress response for the preparation of a cosmetic composition is disclosed. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the inventive extract obtainable by the method provided herein.

摘要： The interaction of the PAI-4 promoter region with NAK-1 was doubly detected by a genetic screen. NAK-1 is up-regulated by a NF kappa B-dependent mechanism in some inflammation reactions but not in others, however NAK-1 stimulates the expression of PAI-1 in both cases. In the inflammation reaction the up-regulation of PAI-1 follows that of NAK-1 and increased NAK-1 binding to the PAI-1 promoter may be detected. NAK-1 is up-regulated in atherosclerotic vessels, where PAI-1 is strongly expressed in the same cells.
