    • The invention relates to an automatic, revolver-like firearm having a barrel (1), a tubular magazine (2), a drum (3), a laser (6) which is arranged in the stock (5), an accumulator (8) and an electronic control device (9) which is accommodated in the weapon frame and in the handles, as well as a metal caseless projectile (10) for such a firearm. The object is to achieve a high rate of fire and very fast loading times. The tubular magazine (2) contains projectiles (10), stacked in five magazine tubes (11), having a projectile base (13) through which a laser beam can pass and having a firing charge (22) which is fired by laser pulses and initiates the combustion of the propellant charge powder (18). A plurality of projectiles (10), which leave the drum (3) and the barrel (1) without any coarse body residues, are fired successively in the rotating drum (3). After a specific final cycle, the electronic control device (9) causes all the drum chambers located under the barrel axis to be loaded simultaneously with new projectiles (10) from the tubular magazine (2), using the muzzle-loader principle. As a result of this rational cycle (firing of a plurality of rounds successively, avoiding having to get rid of cartridge cases, and simultaneous reloading of a plurality of projectiles) allows a theoretical rate of fire of 5600 rounds per minute to be calculated (Figs. 1 and 5).
