摘要： An information processing apparatus that transmits transmission data to another first information processing apparatus through an access point includes: a detection unit configured to detect the access point; a reproduction unit configured to reproduce the transmission data from a recording medium in which the transmission data is recorded; a transmission unit configured to transmit to the another first information processing apparatus the transmission data reproduced by the reproduction unit when the access point is detected by the detection unit; and a power control unit configured to control supply of power to the reproduction unit. The power control unit controls the supply of power such that power is supplied to the reproduction unit when the access point is detected by the detection unit and power is not supplied to the reproduction unit in other cases.

摘要： An information processing apparatus and method is disclosed wherein setting data to be used in image pickup can be set precisely to perform desired image pickup. The information processing apparatus may include a recording control section configured to control recording of image data obtained by image pickup and setting data used in the image pickup, and a reproduction section configured to reproduce the setting data. The information processing apparatus may further include an acceptance section configured to accept a variation amount to a value corresponding to the setting data inputted by a user, and a variation section configured to vary the setting data reproduced by the reproduction section based on the variation amount accepted by the acceptance section. The recording control section may control recording of the setting data varied by the variation section. The invention can be applied typically to a personal computer.

A CPU controls a VCR block so that input information is recorded on a video tape when the video tape is ready for recording. When the video tape is not ready for recording, such as when searching for information recorded on the video tape is performed, the CPU controls a RAM block so that input information is temporarily recorded in RAM. When the video tape shifts from a state of not ready for recording to a state of ready for recording, the CPU controls the VCR block and the RAM block so that the information recorded in the RAM is transferred to the video tape for recording.
