[Class 133.] A handle for attaching to an accumulator consists of a strip of rigid or flexible material such as ebonite, glass, rubber or leather having notches or apertures at its ends for engaging the terminal screws. The handle may be made of metal, the ends being insulated or made of insulating material. Fig. 1 shows a handle consisting of a leather strap A having at each end a fibre or metal hook C shaped to engage the accumulator terminals. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the handle A is made of rigid material such as metal, wood, cardboard, &c. and has loops C of cord, cat-gut, &c. at the ends. Fig. 4 shows a further modification in which an insulating handle A is provided with two plates B, C having notches to engage the accumulator terminals.

    • A drowsiness detection system (100) constructed according to the invention provides improved performance by preserving, and analyzing newly discovered information contained in rhythmic signal components above 30 Hz which in prior art has universally ignored or discarded as noise. In the first (700), and second (800) embodiments of the invention, one or more analog EEG signals are collected from a subject, appropriately filtered (616), converted into digital form (212), and subjected to frequency analysis. Selected signal components from the frequencies above 30 Hz, which have a high correlation with subject drowsiness, are isolated, and their amplitude, energy, or power contribution to the EEG signal is used to produce a continuous output measure reflecting the subject's alertness or drowsiness (140). The output measure (140) may be compared with a threshold to provide an indication of whether the subject is excessively drowsy.

    • The device for diffusing sprayed liquid in a reception zone includes a vessel suitable for containing a liquid for spraying and at least one diffuser of sprayed liquid that is arranged in the vessel. The diffuser includes in particular an ultrasound emitter. The cleaning method is such that during a stage of operation of the device in which the device is not diffusing liquid in the reception zone, the following steps are performed: heating a liquid in the vessel up to a predetermined temperature, preferably higher than 60° C., in particular lying in the range 65° C. to 80° C.; and draining the liquid from the vessel via a pipe of the device that is situated outside a circuit for diffusing sprayed liquid in the reception zone.
