The method further includes determining detection threshold data based on sensitivity characteristics associated with the imaging device and the temperature difference data. Each pixel of the detection threshold image corresponds to a respective pixel of the thermal image and has a value indicative of a detection threshold associated with the respective pixel of the thermal image. In one example, a method includes receiving a captured image frame comprising a plurality of pixels having a first range of associated pixel values. The method also includes receiving a selection of a subset of the pixels, wherein the subset comprises a gas feature and a scene feature. The method also includes determining a span associated with the pixels of the subset having a second range of associated pixel values smaller than the first range. The method also includes scaling the captured image frame to provide an adjusted image frame limited to the second range of pixel values associated with the span to increase contrast between the gas feature and the scene feature. The method also includes displaying the adjusted image frame. Additional methods and systems are also provided.

In one example, a method includes receiving a captured infrared image comprising a gas feature and a scene feature. The captured infrared image comprises a first range of pixel values associated with a first temperature range of the gas feature and the scene feature. The method also includes applying a spatial filter to the captured infrared image to provide a spatially filtered infrared image retaining the gas feature and removing the scene feature. The spatially filtered infrared image comprises a second range of pixel values associated with a second temperature range of the gas feature without the additional scene feature to exhibit increased gas contrast over the captured infrared image. Additional methods and systems are also provided.

摘要： Systems and methods include an infrared camera configured to capture an infrared image of a scene, a visible-light camera configured to capture a visible-light image of the scene, and a logic device configured to simultaneously capture a pair of images of the scene comprising the infrared image of the scene and the visible image of the scene, align the pair of images so that a pixel location in one of the pair of images has a corresponding pixel location in the other image, classify the visible image, annotate the infrared image based, at least in part, on the classification of the visible image, and add the annotated infrared image to a neural network training dataset for use in training a neural network for infrared image classification. A beamsplitter is arranged to reflect a first image of the scene towards the infrared camera and pass through a second image of the scene to the visible-light camera, and a first blackbody is attached thereto and positioned in a field of view of the infrared camera.
