摘要： A hearing aid (10, 58) includes a relatively rigid shell (22) which holds hearing aid electronics (32, 34, 36, 38) and one or more flexible, shape-retaining filaments (42, 44, 60) attached to the hearing aid shell (22). The filament(s) (42, 44, 60) extend(s) out a proximal side of the hearing aid shell (22) having a shape which interacts with the user's ear anatomy such as the conchae bowl (52). The shape determines an insertion depth of the hearing aid shell (22) into the user's ear canal (18), and a spring action biases the hearing aid (10, 58) toward the desired insertion depth. The hearing aid (10, 58) supported by the filament(s) (42, 44, 60) provides an open, unoccluding position in the ear canal (18).

摘要： A hearing aid (10) has a suspension portion (42) received in the wearer's concha bowl (12) and an electronics portion (40). The suspension portion (42) is formed of a flexible rubbery material, while the electronics portion (40) includes a shell (52) formed of a rigid plastic material. The suspension portion (42) is provided as a ring (66) having an annulus, and bears off a tragus contact area (56), an antitragus contact area (58) and an antihelix contact area (60) to support the receiver (44) in a suspended, cantilevered position within the ear canal (14). The microphone (72) can be within the flexible ring housing portion (66). The hearing aid (10) makes much more comfortable contact with the concha bowl (12).
