    • A log splitter (10) includes a pump (24) connected to a hydraulic reservoir (30) and an elongated beam having a splitting wedge and a support plate mounted thereon. A hydraulic ram (22) provides relative motion between the wedge and the plate to split logs. The ram (22) includes a cylinder (50), a piston positioned within the cylinder, and a piston rod (52) reciprocally movable within the cylinder. The hydraulic ram also includes a control valve (62) connecting the pump and the cylinder. The first end collar (54) includes a first cylinder head and a valve body of the valve (62) cast as a single component. The valve body defines an inlet port (70), an outlet port (72), an "A" port and a "B" port. The second end collar (56) includes a second cylinder head and defines a channel fluidically connected to the "B" port. The first and second cylinder heads are sealingly held on ends of the cylinder with tie rods (58).

    • A clutching mechanism (20) for a cultivating tiller. The clutching mechanism also includes a belt (62) positioned between the upper half pulley and the lower half pulley, and a tensioning assembly (70) configured to selectively tension the belt so that the belt transmits rotation of the upper half pulley to the lower half pulley.
